Led by Linda Blisset, ITA’s Certified Director of Safety, Certified Driver Trainer, and Certified Instructor, this session will walk you through the core topics every trucking professional should know, including:

  • Understanding CDLs (Commercial Driver’s Licenses)
  • CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) operation and requirements
  • Detailed vehicle inspection using a real truck & trailer – hands-on with the Illinois State Police
  • Hours of Service rules and compliance
  • Key federal and state trucking regulations
  • Roadside inspection simulation with the Illinois State Police
  • Clear explanations of trucking acronyms: IRP, IFTA, PSP, CSA, UCR, URS, and more
  • Effective communication practices in the trucking environment
  • Certificate of Completion awarded at the end of the course
